The “Cargoland” Gala of Liège Airport (LGG) is a prestigious networking event celebrating excellence and achievements within the air cargo community. The April 2026 edition stood out as a key moment, bringing together industry leaders to recognize outstanding contributions across logistics, transportation, and ground handling services.

The evening also reflected a period of strong and sustained growth for Liège’s cargo ecosystem, with airfreight volumes rising by 16%, followed by 14%, and a further 16% in Q1 2026—marking the strongest start on record. This performance once again highlighted the strength of collaboration across airlines, logistics operators, and partners.

Looking ahead, Liège Airport shared its long-term ambition to double cargo capacity by 2040, supported by significant investments in infrastructure, operational efficiency, and deeper integration across the logistics chain.

More than an awards ceremony, the event underscored the importance of trust, resilience, and partnership in driving continued success within a fast-moving and highly competitive industry.
